Happy Anniversary to Us!

In the light of this special occasion I thought I would share some useless info - found this fun meme on Gills blog a while ago...

1. Who is your man? Duh? The guy in the photo. Named The Man.

2. How long have you been together? We have been together for 17yrs. We met in October 1991.

3. How long did you date before you got married? We never 'dated'. We 'hung out' for 3mths, got engaged and married 6mths later. Much to much parents horror. But they got over it.

4. How old is your man? 40.

5. Who eats more? He does but only marginally.

6. Who said “I love you” first? I did, never been one to keep my mouth shut. He was going away so I felt he needed to be ' marked ' before he left!!! He scarred me but not returning the endearment. Little shit. He made me wait til his return to whisper the sweet nothing in my ear. (although he will tell you that he knew I was his wife the night he met me!)

7. Who is taller? He is, by far.

8. Who sings better? Lets say neither of us would try out for Mama Mia!

9. Who is smarter? Street smart would be me. Academically would be him. No flies on either of us though.....

10. Whose temper is worse? Mine mine mine. I scare myself regularly.

11. Who does the laundry? Me.Washing, hanging and putting away. (not ironing)

12. Who takes out the garbage? However notices its full first....

13. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Whatever, we dont really have sides. Am currently on the left but could change tomorrow.

14. Who pays the bills? Some me. Some him.

15. Who is better with the computer? Him, I guess. It depends on what you have to do. We "knowledge share". I dont do the Excel thang but then again, he cant really figure out my photo software either...

16. Who mows the lawn? Usually me but sometimes him. Sometimes a gardener.

17. Who cooks dinner? Me mostly. Although on dont cook weekends. If anyone plans on eating its every man (or kid) for themselves!

18. Who drives when you are together? Me. I drive Lola (Mazda 5) and he drives Little Grey Car (opel). He has never taken to Lola and cant stand my abuse when he drives. So I drive.

19. Who pays when you go out? Usually me. I hate waiting for the bill, so I usually whip out my card when they put the food on the table!! That way, when we are done we can leave immediately. I HATE waiting for the bill. (for anything really...)

20. Who is the most stubborn? Tricky. Most people would say me but thats because I am LOUDLY stubborn while he is SILENTLY stubborn....The jury's out on this one.

21. Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? I am never wrong. Clearly he is. *wink*

22. Whose parents do you see most? Mine, they live down the road.

23. Who kissed who first? Cant remember but probably him.

24. Who asked who out? He did, we went to see Terminator at a theatre in Joburg central..

25. Who proposed? We never did that either. We kinda just knew we would be together forever so one day while stuck in hectic traffic, he just told me to get his diary off the backseat so we could find a suitable date for the wedding. That was that. Simple and to the point. Just the way we both like it.

26. Who is most sensitive? Him.

27. Who has the most friends? Me. I have loads cos I have time and a huge social network due to being a SAHM.

28. Who has more siblings? Me, I got 3 and he got 2.

29. Who wears the pants in the family? Depends on the area of responsibility. Some its me and some its him.

30. How did you meet?, Through a school buddy of his. Wasnt set up, it was a young adults group and he popped in for the evening. I was there as I had recently moved to Jhb and was keen to meet people (boys....) and clearly my mission was accomplished!
